Dear colleagues,

We are pleased to inform you that the next International Congress of Optometry and Vision Science (CIOCV) will be held in Braga (Portugal) in the next 24 and 25 of May 2014. This year the overall topic is dedicated to "The 25 years of Optometry in Portugal"

The CIOCV achieved during the last years a prominent place in the European optometry community, and is now considered the second largest Congress of Optometry on Iberian Peninsula area.

In 2013 we celebrated the 10th anniversary of the event with a great panel of speakers and an audience of around 500 participants. Also, the number of submitted free papers and posters has increased significantly in recent years.

With the start of the Master in Advanced Optometry in 2009/2010 and more recently the start of the Doctoral Program in Optometry and Vision Science (already in place for this school year 2013/2014) it is essential to develop new knowledge and critical thinking to improve the professional optometric practice and optometric research in our country. We are therefore aiming at a high quality scientific program and we would like to invite you to submit to the conference a Free Oral Communication, Poster or Clinical Case.

Registrations are limited and as such keep an eye on the registration process to ensure that you can book your place at this excellent scientific event.

We hope you will join us in May on the 11th CIOCV so we can welcome you in Braga at this great knowledge sharing event.
